Liberec Economic Forum | Czechia, September 5-6, 2023

On 5-6 September 2023, our faculty organized the 16th annual international conference Liberec Economic Forum, this time on the topic of Business Resilience and Sustainability in the Planetary Age.

First day of the conference 5/9/2023

On the first day, the conference was opened by the Dean of our Faculty doc. Ing. Aleš Kocourek, Ph.D., who opened the plenary session at 14:00 and introduced the two keynote speakers.

The first was Univ.-Prof. Dipl.-Ing. Dr.mont. Rupert Baumgartner, Professor of Sustainability Management at the Institute of Environmental System Sciences (ESS) - University of Graz. His presentation was entitled Sustainable Strategic Management in the era of the Anthropocene.

The second of the pair was the chief economist and member of the Supervisory Board of Raiffeisenbank a. s. - Ing. Helena Horská, Ph.D., who is also an independent member of the advisory team of the Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala and the National Economic Council of the Government. Her lecture was entitled Sustainability & Economic Resiliance.

However, the plenary session was not a monologue by these two speakers. The audience in the auditorium actively participated in the discussion.

Subsequently, the LEF conference included a Discussion Table event on the topic Rules of Survival.

We are very grateful to our speakers who participated in the discussion and tirelessly answered questions of the moderator and the audience.
