Liberec Economic Forum | Czechia, September 13-14, 2021

We thank all the authors and participants who joined our conference. This year, we had 71 contributions from 106 authors. We are very happy that we managed to connect and share our research and ideas despite Covid-19 related restrictions. The motto of 2021, 'Year of Recovery and New Opportunities', guided us as we turned challenges into growth and embraced the future with renewed hope.

On the behalf of the organizing and programme committee, we would like to congratulate to the authors of the award winning papers:

1^st place: Dagmar Kalová and Karel Brychta – Productivity and Profitability in the Construction Industry – a Case of the Czech Republic

2^nd place: Jana Ostárková – Evaluation of the Regional Resilience of the Czech Republic by Multidimensional Methods

3^rd place: Terezie Krestová and Aleš Kresta – Application of Age Management as a Way to Eliminate the Risk Associated with the Demographic Development of the Population

The keynote speakers of this year´s plenary session were: doc. Ing. Monika Palatková, Ph.D. – former Chief Officer of the Czech Tourism Agency and current Head of the Institute of International Management and Marketing at the College of International Public Relations in Prague, Assoc. Prof. Larry Smith – Director of the University of Waterloo's Problem Lab (Canada) and Marek Pyszko – Chief Economist of the Ministry of Public Affairs of the Czech Republic.
