Project outputs

  • In-person workshops on a given professional topic related to career development
  • Expert studies focused on researching the requirements of the labour market and employers, public universities and the needs of university graduates
  • Practical excursions to selected companies
  • Organization of a career fair to promote students’ employability – a joint meeting of students/employees of TUL and TUD
  • Creation of a career compass – online tool presenting stories of cross-border careers of HE graduates, career guidance topics, study findings
  • Expert group meetings – to map, discuss, consult needs and baseline situation in the region, focus of analysis, applicability of results

Particular attention will be paid to the conditions under which graduates are willing to stay in the region. The survey conducted as part of the project records both the current demands for academic skills and the skills offered in the ERN.

Workshops, excursions and a career day are intended to encourage interest in finding a job in a cross-border context. In addition, a career compass will be created to facilitate orientation on the ERN labour market. It will contain job profiles, stories of successful transnational workers and information on incentive programmes such as “Görlitz auf Probe” and on administrative and legal aspects of cross-border employment. The results obtained within the project activities will be discussed with a group of experts and recommendations will be developed for universities and regional representatives.
