Pavla Vrabcová focuses on a wide range of issues related to the bioeconomy in the context of sustainable development and on management systems for sustainable business with an emphasis on social responsibility. She is a member of advisory bodies of domestic organizations – expert section of the Czech Quality Council Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development (an advisory body of the Ministry of Industry and Trade), the Department of Economics, Management, Sociology and Informatics of the Czech Academy of Agricultural Sciences including the Commission for Management and Strategic Human Resource Development in Agriculture, and the Department of Agrarian History of the Czech Academy of Agricultural Sciences (advisory bodies of the Ministry of Agriculture). She is also a foreign member of the Slovak Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Department of Economics and Management (an advisory body of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of the Slovak Republic), a member of the Czech Business Council for Sustainable Development (CBCSD) (and its working groups on Decarbonisation, Sustainable Finance and ESG, and Circular Economy), the CSR Stakeholder Platform, the Financial Academy of Zlatá koruna, and a founding member of the Platform for the Bioeconomy of the Czech Republic.
She is a member of editorial boards of professional journals (Central European Business Review – Associate Editor, Agricultural Economics – editorial board member + Associate Editor, Czech Hospitality and Tourism Papers, Waste forum, Prameny a studie, Mundus symbolicus) and of numerous program/organizing committees of scientific conferences. In 2024, she became a member of the expert panel Energy Transformation and Sustainable Future for the preparation of new National Priorities of Oriented Research.
To date, she has published more than 50 professional articles in internationally recognized databases Web of Knowledge, Scopus, and many others related to management or the multidisciplinary field of bioeconomy, with domestic and international citations.
Pavla Vrabcová has authored or co-authored a total of 7 book monographs and chapters in monographs. She is also the author or co-author of 11 teaching texts.
She is a principal investigator of scientific research projects (National Agency for Agricultural Research, Technology Agency, contract research under the Prague Voucher calls, internal projects, contract research) and serves as a reviewer for selected entities (Technology Agency of the Czech Republic, National Agency for Agricultural Research, Slovak Research and Development Agency, OP JAK, expert consultant for BETA3 TAČR, VEGA/KEGA, OP TAK).
